The biggest name to bust on Day 4 was Phil Hellmuth who had to watch is pocket rockets be defeated by a straight. After being dealt A♣ A♠ Hellmuth flat called before the flop from a late position. The flop was J♣ 10♦ 5♣. Kevin Jenkins pushed all-in with 83,000, Hellmuth then re-raised all-in with 110,000 and Jose Manuel Gomez called. The turn finished it off, giving Hensel a 9♦ and then further rubbed salt in the wound with the 9♠ on the river. With Hamadani’s elimination the room burst into cheers and applause as the remaining players realized that they had made the money. But Hamadani doesn’t go away empty handed, the WSOP and Jack Link’s have agreed to buy him into the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event, which is a nice prize for the unfortunate bubble boy.
