Casino Holdem Poker
Online Casino Holdem Poker
Casino Holdem is a relatively new card game that has become very popular in online casinos. It is a variation on standard Texas Holdem and its “Caribbean” version call Caribbean Holdem is the sister game of Caribbean Stud Poker. Unlike Texas Holdem, however, players only compete against the dealer. Casino Holdem is simple to learn, and only has a house edge of 2.16% under the standard Ante pay table; it can be played at most online casinos today.
What is Casino Holdem?
Before I start explaining the finer aspects of the game, I would like to acknowledge the difference between Casino Holdem and Caribbean Holdem. Caribbean plays out exactly the same as Casino Holdem except that it includes a flat $1 progressive jackpot. Like Caribbean Stud Poker, players can bet an extra dollar on each hand for the chance to win big. Players win the progressive jackpot on a Royal Flush, or an optional bonus for a progressive jackpot on a Flush or better. Other than the jackpot, Caribbean is the same as Casino Hold ’em.
How to play Casino Holdem
The basic structure of the game is identical to Texas Holdem. Players begin by placing an Ante bet before they receive their two face down cards. Next comes the three community-card “flop” before players have the option to Call – which is twice the initial Ante wager – or fold. If players decide to fold they lose their cards, Ante bet, and their progressive jackpot side bet, if one was made. If they feel that they can win the round and choose to Call, then their bets are raised, and the turn and river cards are added to the flop.
The dealer will turn over their cards next and reveal who holds the best hand. In Casino Holdem the dealer must be able to make a hand that contains at least a pair of 4s to qualify. If the dealer does not qualify, then the Ante bet pays even money and the Call becomes a push. However, if the dealer qualifies and wins then the player loses all bets. If both hands are equal, all bets are pushed, and if the player’s hand beats the dealer’s, the Ante bet is paid according to the Ante pay table, and the Call pays out at 1 to 1.

Casino Holdem History
Casino Holdem has only been around since the year 2000, when it was introduced by renowned card game creator Stephen Au-Yeung. It did not become licensed, however, until 2007, when it was accepted into British casinos. Since that time, both Casino and Caribbean Holdem have become amongst the most popular online casino games. Many online casinos offer both versions of the game, and you can play Caribbean Holdem today at Cherry Red Casino for your chance to win the massive jackpot.
